IVCC is a Product Development Partnership established to develop the next generation of vector control tools necessary for sustainable control and elimination of malaria. Founded in 2005 with supportfrom the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, IVCC is now supported by the major donors in the field including USAID, UKAID, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
In partnership with industry, donors and other stakeholders, we are on track to deliver novel mosquito vector control interventions to the market, underpinning a global malaria eradication programme and providing additional tools to fight an array of neglected tropical diseases, saving lives, improving health and increasing the prosperity of some of the poorest communities in the world.
IVCC is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with excellent project leadership skills and who understands the importance of timely delivery to market of high impact products. The successful candidate will join a team based in Liverpool,and will lead insecticide development projects, collaborating with industrial and science partners based around the world as needed. You will set project goals and objectives in line with IVCC portfolio strategy, be responsible for ensuring resources are in place to deliver project goals and review progress,adjusting direction and goals accordingly. You will demonstrate best practice project management and work closely with the IVCC R&D portfolio and technical teams. You will report and present project reviews at meetings with IVCC's expert consultants and funders.
It is essential that you have a BSc degree in a science related subject and ideally a post-graduate degree, along with demonstrable experience in project management.Your work experience must include vector control, agrochemical or a pharmaceutical product development environment. Technical competence in product formulation or application equipment would be advantageous but not essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders with a keen interest in working at the interface of science, product development and innovation delivery in an international setting to deliver on the IVCC mission with transparency and integrity.
