We are looking to recruit an experienced data collector who will be the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine’s point of contact to collect primary data through quarterly verification visits. The role will monitor the progress of the health services. In the role as a data collector, you will verify data, measure the Quality of Care and assess client satisfaction of the services provided by health facilities. You will collect data using electronic devices and random sampling principles and work closely with the QVV coordinator, QVV supervisor, LSTM staff, county health departments and UNICEF staff stationed in the respective counties and states.
Purpose of the role:
LSTM was awarded 10 months contract by UNICEF South Sudan, starting 1st September, to provide independent third-party monitoring of the delivery of the health services under the COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Project (CERPH) in Jonglei and Upper Nile states. As part of the project, Contracted Service Delivery Organizations (CSDO) will be providing primary health care services in the Upper Nile and Jonglei areas.
From July 2013 to October 2018, LSTM, through its local subsidiary LATH South Sudan provided technical assistance to the policy, planning, budgeting and research directorate of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of South Sudan. This support was funded by the World Bank as part of the Rapid Results Health Project, which was designed to provide primary health care services to the former states of Jonglei and Upper Nile. From July 2019 to August 2021, LATH was contracted by UNICEF to support independent monitoring of Provision of Essential Health Services Project (PEHSP) in the states of Jonglei and Upper Nile.
