An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join our interdisciplinary team, at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Research Programme in Blantyre, Malawi.
This role will form part of a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded project and you will be focused on developing and implementing interventions to prevent healthcare associated infection (HAI), an area for which there are still gaps in the processes of translating the best evidence into practice. The aim for the role is to support a programme of work in developing effective, acceptable and scalable interventions to reduce HAI in Africa.
You will evaluate current IPC practice in hospitals in Southern Malawi and explore whether and how the WHO framework for IPC implementation can be used, how it may be adapted to the Malawian setting and any barriers / enablers there are to its application.
